Domestic cables

Application

Domestic cables are primarily used in residential and commercial buildings for internal wiring. They are ideal for powering lighting systems, sockets, appliances, and other everyday electrical needs in homes, schools, offices, and shops. These cables are suitable for both surface and conduit wiring.

Conductor

The conductors are made of high-quality annealed copper, either single-stranded or multi-stranded, depending on the cable type. Copper is chosen for its excellent conductivity, ensuring efficient power transmission with minimal energy loss.

Insulation

Domestic cables are insulated with PVC (Polyvinyl Chloride) or XLPE (Cross-linked Polyethylene), which offers good thermal, electrical, and mechanical properties. The insulation provides protection against electric shock, moisture, and environmental wear, ensuring long-lasting performance.

Benefits

  • Reliable Power Delivery: Ensures consistent and safe electricity supply.
  • Durability: Resistant to heat, moisture, and chemical exposure.
  • Safety: High insulation resistance reduces the risk of electric shocks and short circuits.
  • Ease of Installation: Flexible and easy to handle during wiring.
  • Cost-Effective: Offers good performance at an affordable price.

Marking

Each cable is clearly marked with details such as conductor size (e.g., 1.5mm², 2.5mm²), voltage rating, insulation type, brand name, and manufacturing standard (e.g., KS, BS). This marking ensures easy identification during installation and inspections.

Packing

Domestic cables are typically packed in rolls of 100 meters for easy handling, storage, and distribution. Larger quantities can be supplied on wooden drums or reels for bulk installations or commercial projects.
