Submersible cables

Application

Submersible cables are specifically designed for supplying power to submersible pumps and motors in deep wells, water tanks, boreholes, and underwater applications. These cables operate reliably in wet, harsh, and submerged environments, making them ideal for agricultural, industrial, and domestic water pumping systems.

Conductor

The conductors are made from high-quality, multi-stranded annealed copper. The fine strands ensure flexibility and easy installation in narrow boreholes while providing excellent electrical conductivity for consistent power delivery.

Insulation

Submersible cables are insulated with materials like PVC or XLPE, which provide excellent electrical strength and resistance to water, oil, abrasion, and chemicals. The insulation layer ensures safety and durability even in continuous contact with water.

Benefits

  • Water Resistance: Built to operate safely under water for extended periods.
  • Durability: Withstands mechanical stress, abrasion, and chemical exposure.
  • Flexibility: Easy to handle and install, even in deep or narrow spaces.
  • High Performance: Delivers consistent electrical output to submersible equipment.
  • Long Service Life: Designed to resist degradation in moist and harsh conditions.

Marking

Each submersible cable is clearly marked with the cable size (e.g., 3×2.5mm²), voltage rating, insulation and sheath type, and brand/manufacturer information. These markings help with proper identification, installation, and compliance with safety standards.

Sheathing

The outer sheath is usually made of tough PVC or rubber compound that offers additional protection against moisture, mechanical wear, and chemical exposure. It is smooth, durable, and designed to resist abrasion during installation and operation in submerged conditions.
